The current banner shows Alnwick Castle, in Northumberland - a county in the far north east of England, bordering Scotland. This region is home to a number of Appleby lines - and our DNA project has confirmed genetic connections between several of these, which also match lines in Canada, USA and Ireland.
If you have Applebys in your family tree, why not join the Appleby Research Organisation (ARO) and make sure that you hear about the latest news and developments?
Membership is free and is open to all Appleby researchers, wherever you live in the world.
Just complete our CONTACT FORM to ensure that you receive our (very) occasional mailings!
One of the main advantages of being on our contact list is that we can put you in touch with others researching the same line of Applebys.
For us to do this, it is important that you tell us on the form if you fit into an Appleby family tree that is already included on this website (see this page for a current list of trees and a name Index).
If your Appleby family tree is not yet included, or if you cannot identify your family tree on the site, please provide the name of the most distant known Appleby in your family tree, along with an approximate date of birth and where he or she lived, and then tell us how you are related to this person.
We would be delighted to help you research your Appleby line, with a view to adding your tree to our website!
Keeping you in touch
